Who is Seq Kalz?
Seq Kalz is currently a research project funded through the Validierungsförderung VIP+ program of the German Federal Ministry of Research, Technology and Space (BMFTR) (Grant No. 03VP11410) conducting research at Technische Universität Berlin. The project focuses on validating a new technology for CO2 storage in concrete. More information can be found on the official program website: Seq-Kalz on validierungsfoerderung.de .
The purpose of the VIP+ funding is to develop and validate the technology and to evaluate its potential for practical use. At the end of the project (Fall of 2026), the team will decide whether the best way forward is to found a company, license the technology, or pursue another path. At this stage, Seq Kalz is still in the process of exploring these options.
